With a “Hot Blooded” Line-up, the Summer Concert Series is Heating up the Month of June

It’s the “Summer of Love” — love of music that is. The Summer Concert Series at Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater provides the opportunity to see eight exciting performances in the month of June. The concerts feature headliners for every music palette, with shows ranging from classic rock to folk and soul music. Everyone is sure to enjoy the entertaining music and our unique venue this summer!

June 1
The B-52’s are kicking off this summer concert season tonight with a sold out show! Best known for their song “Love Shack,” The B-52s are sure to bring the party with their New Wave and 1960’s rock and roll style.

June 8
Melissa Etheridge will be playing Friday, June 8 at 7 p.m. You won’t want to miss this Grammy Award winner rock the crowd with hits including “Come to my Window” and “I’m the Only One.”

June 13
Jimmy Cliff is best known for his hits “I Can See Clearly Now” and “Many Rivers to Cross,” which feature a vibrant reggae style that entices every audience. As a Hall of Fame Inductee, he is sure to put on an entertaining show. You don’t want to miss his performance on Wednesday, June 13 at 7 p.m.

June 14
Foreigner is celebrated as a classic rock legend and loved by many 80’s fans. The band has 14 Top 20 hits including “Hot Blooded” and “Cold as Ice” and 10 multi-platinum albums. Foreigner will rock the stage on Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m.

June 17
Steve Miller Band will be playing to a sold out crowd on Sunday, June 17 at 8 p.m. Featuring hits like “The Joker” and “Fly like an Eagle” this performance will be one to remember this Father’s Day.

June 18
Al Green will soothe the audience with his 1970’s gospel and soul music including hit singles “You Oughta Be With Me” and “I’m Still in Love with You.” He performs Monday, June 18 at 7 p.m.

June 28
Gov’t Mule is a southern rock jam band loved for its Allman Brother influence. The band has hits including “Soulshine” and “Endless Parade.” The nitty gritty bluesy feel provides an original sound sure to enliven any audience. Gov’t Mule will perform on Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m.
June 29
Emmylou Harris closes out the month of June. After selling more than 15 million albums and leading several of America’s musical movements in the past 30 years, she is sure to inspire the crowd. Several of her hits include “Boulder to Birmingham” and “Pancho and Lefty.” Listen to Emmylou Harris on Friday, June 29 at 7 p.m.
